Padmanabhapuram Palace: It’s nearby the place Thuckalay - a township in the district of Kanyakumari. The palace is made of granite and has its edges across 4 kms. Tucked in the foothills of the Veli Hills, this palace has panoramic views.



Now the palace is being managed under the Archeological Department of Kerala. The palace is said to be the dwelling of the erstwhile Travancore ruler before the capital city was shifted to Thiruvananthapuram. The exterior outlook of the palace reflects the architecture of Kerala.

Though the city is a year round destination, the best time to visit Kanyakumari is from December to February. At this period the weather climate remains pleasant and temperature hovers minimum 17 degree Celsius to maximum 32 degree Celsius.
